ARTTITUDE SCHOLARSHIPS
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: ARTTITUDE’S OUTLOUD SCHOLARSHIP
We are pleased to announce Arttitude’s OutLoud Scholarship for the 2021-2022 academic year. To apply for this scholarship, please complete and submit the application form and all required supporting materials by email to jara@arttitude.org. The deadline for this application is August 6, 2021.
Purpose:
The purpose of this award is to support creative LGBTQIA2+ and allied students on their educational paths. Each awardee will receive a scholarship to be used towards their studies and will be recognized for their creative and academic accomplishments on Arttitude’s website.
Selection Criteria:
1. Applicants must be enrolled in a program of study (or for high school students, have received an acceptance letter for a program of study)
2. Applicants should be enrolled in at least two courses/6 credit hours per term
3. Applicants must self-identify within the LGBTQIA2+ spectrum or as an ally
4. Applicants should be Texas residents. Exceptions will be made for students going to school out-of-state.
5. Application materials should demonstrate creativity and out-of-the-box thinking
6. Special consideration will be given to applicants who can demonstrate a significant obstacle that they have had to overcome in their life and/or those who demonstrate a commitment to community involvement and volunteerism
Required Application Materials:
1. Completed application form
2. A resume or CV
3. A personal statement (no more than 500 words) that explains why you are a strong candidate for this scholarship and how this scholarship will help you achieve your goals
4. A creative component with an artist description that shows how your goals fit within Arttitude’s mission. Creative components could include, but are not limited to: photography, sculpture, literature, performance art, images of your culinary creations, street art, drag, and more.
5. Names and contact information for 3 potential recommenders who can address the personal, educational, and/or creative components of your application

In recognition of the revolutionary activist Marsha P. Johnson, we are pleased to announce Arttitude’s “Pay It No Mind” Scholarship for Adult Learners for the 2021-2022 academic year. To apply for this scholarship, please complete and submit the application form and all required supporting materials by email to jara@arttitude.org. The deadline for this application is August 6, 2021.
